Dear North Street Community Church Family,
Earlier this summer our own Associate Pastor Keegan Wright made this comment in the context of sending quality men and women of God into the field of harvest: “We here at NSCC are very good at sending our best.” And why not, is not our Lord God Almighty worthy of everything? We live, we move, we have our being so that we might exalt the name of our God. And what a joy it is to do that in real and practical ways, giving our best and sending our best for the glory of our God.
So the Lord has clearly shown the Elders over the past few months that it’s once again time to send others out from among us. We have been processing this for a long time with much prayer, planning, and consideration in preparation for this sending. At every single meeting of your elders during the past number of months we have sought the face of the Lord regarding this particular sending.
In this time of prayer and preparation your Elders at NSCC have come to more fully recognize the gifts and calling of God upon the lives of Darren and Caryn Peachey. We certainly have been blessed by God beyond measure for the past 9 years of working alongside of them – with them loving on us and us loving on them. Their impact of answering God’s call to come here, to pour out their hearts in the giving of themselves in time, prayer, visitations, preaching’s, teachings, building friendships, bringing unity in the community, and so much more – has etched an impressive history for NSCC for the glory of our God.
But more recently your elders have clearly seen how God has gifted this beloved couple with remarkable skills to serve the Lord far beyond the perimeter of this local fellowship. So we are ready to send Darren and Caryn out and your Elders are inviting you as the congregation here at NSCC to participate with us in that.
As they go out from us will we suffer loss? Yes. We will suffer loss in this: that which has become a part of us in friendship and leadership will be separated by geography. As we all know, it is always difficult to part company with those you love. Yes, we will miss them dearly, however, in our willingness to release them it will allow the Lord to expand opportunities for His church through them in other places – while allowing NSCC the opportunity to assume another degree of dependency upon God as He opens for us new doors of opportunity.

Because of this – Sunday, February 2, 2020 will be Darren’s last Sunday with us as a Pastor here at NSCC.
As NSCC Elders, we have been praying, discerning, and preparing for many months a new plan for providing leadership for this next season as the Body of Christ at North Street Community and will share that with you, the church, on Sunday, October 13th.
We invite your prayers on behalf of Darren and Caryn that God would make His will and way clear to them in the days to come and make provision for their daily needs. Pray that God would grant His favor on NSCC for a smooth transition into a new season. Pray that God would be glorified and His kingdom expanded, as we, His Redeemed People, grow in love and service to each other and our King.
Ministering Jesus is Everything!
